Bansara Eye Care Centre in collaboration with the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police and DMHO, West Jaintia Hills organized a Mega Eye Camp on the 30 th of October, 2015 in the Department of Arts and Culture, District Library Jowai. The camp started at 8:30 am, while at 10 am an awareness program was held at the Library Hall where the Addl. Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills Shri. D. M. Wallang was the Chief Guest and the DMHO, West Jaintia Hills, Dr. I. Tongper, and SP West Jaintia Hills, Shri. R. Muthu, IPS were the Guests of Honor. The camp was also visited by the Deputy Commissioner of West Jaintia Hills, Shri Arunkumar Kembhavi.

Further, Volunteers from the Office of Superintendent of Police and Doctors and nurses from the Office of DMHO came forward to join hands with the Bansara Crew to help eliminate avoidable blindness by giving free treatment to patients in need of eye care. Being a community driven initiative the eye camp reached out to 478 number of patients where 33 Cataract and 10 specialty cases were detected. Patients were also provided with spectacles and free medicines at the venue.
